# Chrome extensions

> Have an agent add a Chrome extension to the browser, open it yourself, and remove it.

A Chrome extension is a small add-on that gives the browser a new feature. Agents can add Chrome extensions to their browser, and you can use them too.

## Add an extension

1. Send an agent a Chrome Web Store link, or an extension file (a `.zip`, a `.crx` or a folder).
2. Ask it to add the extension.
3. Say yes when the agent asks. With **Ask first** on, it asks you before adding an extension. See [Ask first or skip](/docs/approvals).

Once added, the extension is in every agent's browser.

> An extension can read every page the browser opens, including the ones you're signed in to. That's why the agent asks first.

## Use an extension

1. Open the live browser.
2. Click **Extensions** (the puzzle piece) in the bar.
3. Pick the extension. Its popup opens.

While the browser is open, agents can open extension popups too.

## Remove an extension

Ask an agent to remove it.
