# Sign-in and AI models

> Fixes for when Claude Code is out of date, a model card says INSTALL again, or Google won't let an agent sign in.

::: details Claude Code is too old

A message to an agent on Claude fails with "Claude Code on this machine is older than Yomates needs (2.1.259). Press INSTALL beside Claude Code in Settings to update it." or with a line saying "unknown option".

**Why:** Yomates runs the Claude Code on your computer, which updates on its own schedule. An older copy doesn't know an option Yomates passes it.

**What to do:**

1. Click your name at the bottom of the agent list, then **Settings**.
2. Open **Models**. The **Claude** card says **INSTALL**.
3. Click **INSTALL**. Yomates updates Claude Code. If you were already signed in, no browser opens.
4. Send your message again.

::: details A model card says INSTALL again

In **Settings** → **Models**, the **Claude** or **Gemini** card shows **INSTALL** even though you're signed in.

**Why:** the program behind the card is older than Yomates needs. That is Claude Code for **Claude**, which has to be version 2.1.259 or newer, and Antigravity for **Gemini**.

**What to do:** click **INSTALL** to update it.

::: details An install says it isn't where the app looks

An install finishes with "installed, but not where this app looks. Restart Yomates."

**What to do:** quit Yomates and open it again. Closing the window isn't enough: Yomates keeps running in the menu bar (the tray on Windows and Linux), so quit it from that icon, or with ⌘Q on a Mac.

::: details Google refuses to sign in

Signing in to Google in the agent's browser ends on a page saying "This browser or app may not be secure".

**Why:** Google checks which browser is signing in and changes those checks from time to time. An older Yomates can fall behind.

**What to do:** update Yomates, then try again. Yomates checks for an update each time it opens and installs it when you quit. If the latest version is still refused, [talk to us](/docs/contact).
