# Usage data and reports

> What anonymous usage data Yomates sends and how to turn it off, what agents report to the team, and how to delete a message.

## Usage data

Yomates sends anonymous counts of how the app is used and where it fails:

- how long it is open in front of you
- whether sign-ins and agent turns succeed
- which kind of model and permission setting a turn used
- which AI plans are connected
- error messages, with your home folder, email addresses and keys cut out

They are tied to a random id this copy of the app made for itself, not to your account, email or name, and they never carry what you or your agents write. Your onboarding answers are saved to your account and are not part of product statistics, which only count that onboarding was finished or skipped.

To turn usage data off:

1. Click your name at the bottom of the agent list, then **Settings**.
2. Open **General**.
3. Switch off **Usage data**. This also drops anything not yet sent.

## Problem reports from agents

An agent can tell the Yomates team about a problem without asking you first: a site no longer looks the way a skill (an agent's saved instructions for a job) said, a tool keeps failing, or a sign-in or captcha can't be passed. Agents are told to name the site and what changed in a sentence or two, and never to quote the page, you or your customers.

Every report appears in full as a line in that agent's chat, so you can read what was sent. With **Usage data** off, reports stay on your computer.

## Delete a message

1. Right-click the message.
2. Choose **Delete**.

It leaves the chat, the agent doesn't read it on any later turn, and a group chat no longer passes it to its members.

To empty a whole chat, type `/clear` in the message box. Before the chat is emptied, the agent writes down in its memory what is still true.

To make an agent forget something, delete the line in **MEMORY** in that agent's settings, or in **Settings** → **Memory** for rules every agent follows. See [Memory](/docs/memory).
