Approvals
Ask first or skip
Choose whether an agent stops for your OK before an action that can't be undone.
Each agent has its own permission setting. It decides whether the agent stops and asks you before an action that can't be taken back, such as a payment.
Choose the setting
- Open the agent's chat.
- Click the permission button in the strip under the message box. It shows the current setting.
- Pick Ask first or Skip confirmation.
You can also press Shift+Tab in the message box to switch between the two. A change applies from the agent's next step, even in the middle of a job.
| Setting | What the agent does |
|---|---|
| Ask first | Asks before paying, deleting, publishing, sending or submitting. Does everything else without asking. This is the default. |
| Skip confirmation | Never asks for a go-ahead. If the job needs a decision from you, such as which photo to use, it asks at the start. |
In both settings an agent can read and edit files anywhere on your computer.
With Skip confirmation, an agent pays, deletes and sends without asking, and none of that can be undone. If you ask an agent to switch itself or a teammate to Skip confirmation, it asks you first.

Big actions
With Ask first, the agent stops and asks before it:
- pays, buys or places an order
- deletes or removes anything
- publishes, submits or sends anything, or gives a refund
- sends something through a connected app, such as an email
- runs a command that deletes files or runs as administrator (
rm,sudo) - adds a Chrome extension to the browser
- works in another app on your computer, such as KakaoTalk or Excel, for the first time
Opening pages and menus, reading, searching, other commands, and editing its own drafts, designs and videos never need your OK. Neither do writing to its memory, writing a skill or setting up a routine.
Yomates recognises a big action by the words on the button or command, such as Send, Pay, Delete or 결제. Agents are also told to ask before anything that can't be undone, but a button that only says "OK" may not be recognised.
To answer the panel when an agent asks, see Answer questions and approvals.
