Apps and your phone
Dictate instead of typing
Talk to your agents in Korean or English by holding two keys, instead of typing.
Hold two keys and speak
- Hold Control and Option (⌃⌥) on a Mac, or Ctrl and Alt on Windows and Linux.
- Speak in Korean or English. Your words appear in the message box as you talk.
- Let go. The message is sent.
The keys work wherever your hands are: in the chat, or while you click around in the agent's browser.
Dictation uses credits, like images and video. See Credits.
Read it over before sending
- Click the microphone button beside the message box.
- Speak. Your words go into the box.
- Click the microphone button again to stop.
- Read it over and send it yourself.
If something goes wrong
A short note appears beside the microphone:
| Note | What to do |
|---|---|
| No sound from … (with a device name) | That microphone heard nothing. Pick another input device in your computer's sound settings. |
| Didn't catch that. | Only noise was heard. Your words stay in the box, unsent. |
| microphone blocked | Allow the app to use the microphone in your computer's privacy settings. |
| no microphone | No input device was found. |
More fixes are in Voice and dictation.
